OK..I downloaded and installed the "improved" full screen version. I consider it terrible. The tiny screen on the prior version was inconvenient on my 1280x1024 flat panel monitor. The decision to try to force it into some full screen DOS mode with no option to adjust the window size and force the monitor into some gawdawful resolution which leaves the top third of the game off the screen where you cannot even see it is really poor. How do you change the configuration on this thing to make it run on a high resolution Windows XP system in a usable format? This is a major step backwards, IMHO! |

I am sorry to hear about your problems. The new version of the game is running in a 640x480 pixel resolution. From what you say, I understand that parts of the screen are invisible in your set up. If that is the case, the problem lies within your monitor. Since you are obviously running on a high-end monitor, that shouldn't be a problem, though. Simply use your monitor's controls to adjust the display. Scale the image, move it etc. Please consult the monitor's manual how to adjust these settings. Since the monitor will save these settings for each resolution you don't have to worry that changing these settings will affect your 1280x1024 display. The changes you're making will be used only for the 640x480 display mode from thereon. I hope this helps. Guido |
